Alumnus Calvin Sanford: From overcoming challenges to CEO success
Calvin Sanford is this month's student spotlight. Sanford, a former Southwest Tennessee
Community College student and CEO of marketing company Marketality, is a 2023 Alumni
of the Year award recipient. During his time at Southwest, Sanford was a member of
Project MOST, an organization that provides helpful resources, scholarships, and support
to students while they are completing their academic studies. Sanford shares the impact
Southwest had on his life academically, personally and professionally. To hear more

Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
Southwest celebrated the Class of 2024 on May 8 at the Landers Center. Congratulations
to the graduates! We wish them the best on their extraordinary journey ahead. This
year, the College awarded 1,179 degrees and certificates. We extend our congratulations
to Professors Mahmuda Sultana and Lisa Hadley who received the Faculty of the Year
Award and Alumnus of the Year Award, respectively. Our deepest gratitude goes to Dr.
Reginald Coopwood, president and CEO of Regional One Health, for his words of wisdom
