    Austin Peay State University welcomes students of all ages and at all stages of their career. We offer associate, bachelors, masters and doctoral level degree programs. The institution awards credit for previous training and experience. You can learn online or on-campus, day or evening, in Clarksville, Springfield, and on post at Fort Campbell. Austin Peay State University occupies a site that has served the cultural and educational needs of the Clarksville-Montgomery County area for more than 200 years. Clarksville is the state’s fifth largest city and is home to Tennessee’s youngest population. The school is named after former Tennessee Governor Austin Peay, a Clarksville native.

      The Office of Admissions awards the following scholarships for our transfer students: The Austin Peay Promise and the Transfer Dean's Scholarship.
    • Tuition and Fees:
      15 Credit Hours/per semester in-state $4,380.50; 15 Credit Hours/per semester out-of-state $7,152.50 All fees are subject to change by the APSU Board of Trustees.

    Transfer Application Requirements

    • Minimum GPA:
      GPA requirements are based on the number of quality hours attempted: 11 or less: Freshman Criteria 12-29: 1.50 GPA 30-45: 1.80 GPA 46-59: 1.90 GPA 60 and greater: 2.0 GPA
    • Official Transcripts:
      Official transcripts from all previous colleges/universities attended and high school of graduation must be sent directly from the previously attended institution/school to the APSU Office of Admissions, regardless of credit received.
    • SAT/ACT Scores:
      Valid ACT or SAT scores may be submitted if the student has not taken AND earned college-level English, Math and History and/or Political Science. If ACT or SAT scores cannot be submitted, the student must take the placement assessment.
    • Letters of Recommendation:
      Not required for admission consideration.
    • Essay:
      Not required for admission consideration.
    • Application Fee:
