Cleveland State Community College is an open door, comprehensive community college located in Southeast Tennessee. Students can receive Associate degrees and technical certificates that prepare them to transfer to a university or to enter the workforce more competitively. To better serve a rural service area, courses are offered at the main campus in Cleveland, as well as instructional sites in Athens and Vonore. Extensive course offerings are also available online.

Adult Learner Focused Institution:
CSCC's Adult Support Services offers many services, such as personalized assistance for admissions, readmission and/or transfer assistance, assistance with understanding academic policies, rules, and regulations, providing information and forms regarding services, offices, and departments at CSCC. Adult Support Services also provides information on careers, childcare, financial aid (TN Reconnect & Institutional scholarships), and personalized referral to other college services and outside community agencies. CSCC is a Certified VETS Campus. Resources are provided to help veterans successfully transition from military life to student life. Transfer Application Requirements

Minimum GPA:
Students who were academically suspended from their most recent transfer institution will be placed on academic probation upon admittance.
Official Transcripts:
Students are required to submit ALL prior official college transcripts, even if the student withdrew. A high school transcript is required unless the total earned college credit hours are more than 60.
SAT/ACT Scores:
Transfer students whose ACT/SAT scores demonstrate appropriate levels may be exempt from parts of the Accuplacer test. Only ACT/SAT scores less than 5 years old will be used to determine exemption status.
Other Requirements:
Transfer students who have successfully completed a college-level English and/or Mathematics course, from an accredited institution, are exempt from the academic placement (Accuplacer) test.

Transfer Credit Policy

Minimum Grade:
All courses will be transferred in, however transfer credits are not calculated into a student's GPA.
Credits (Min/Max):
Credits from all institutions of higher learning will be evaluated for currently enrolled students. Non-Degree students are exempt from this process.
