Introduction to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the primary civil engineering professional society, and interaction with the local branch and state section of the ASCE. This class provides a framework for the participation in professional practice activities, service to the community, and educational outreach. These activities may be coordinated through the Student Chapter of ASCE, through the department, through the college, or through other approved groups. May include participation in the annual ASCE Regional Student Chapter Conference. Repeatability: May be repeated. Maximum 6 hours.Credit Restriction: May not be used as credit toward graduation.Registration Restriction(s): College of Engineering majors; minimum student level ― sophomore.
