From tragedy to absurdity, this course focuses on dramas written across the world. Students will examine how dramatists of different countries and time periods have approached gender, culture, form and function. Through a global perspective, students will consider the differences between drama on the page and on the stage, and will work to appreciate theater comparatively as well as historically. Prerequisite: ENGL 110. Learning Outcome: Writing and Global Awareness.
