EXSC 449 - Strength & Conditioning Program Design

Description:
Students will understand the organizational, administrative, and developmental aspects of athletic program design including development of muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and cardio-respiratory fitness. Students are prepared for the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) exam by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). The CSCS exam will serve as the final exam for the course and will encompass 25% of the student's final grade for the course. Students will need to pay for and pass the CSCS exam for successful completion in this course. Prerequisites: EXSC 104, 215, 245SL, and 312SL or instructor's consent.
