Students will understand the foundational knowledge and skill development to become a certified personal trainer. Students will learn to develop and administer programs designed to enhance muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, cardio-respiratory fitness, and body composition. Client motivation and exercise adherence is addressed also. This course is designed to prepare students for the nationally recognized Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) exam by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). The CPT exam will serve as the final exam for the course.
