(Same as ESCI 4335-6335) Much of the prehistoric cultural record is pieced together through the analysis of stone artifacts. The class outlines the basics of stone lithics artifact analysis through an in-depth study of current techniques, instrumentation, and theory. Lecture is augmented by class discussion and hands-on experimentation flintknapping.
