This course is taught only at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, Ocean Springs, Mississippi. University of Memphis residence credit is given through affiliation with the Laboratory. Review of the literature on the behavior, communication, and cognitive abilities of whales and dolphins, as well as field trips and real time observations of marine mammals. PREREQUISITE: Two semesters of biology or permission of instructor.
