This course is designed to provide students with a detailed explanation of physical principles and instruments of ultrasound. The theory of physics principles are discussed and their practical applications presented. Basic principles of instrumentation are discussed and the practical applications reviewed. Emphasis is on theory and clinical application.

PREREQUISITE: UST 200, UST 230, UST 290, UST 280, UST 211C, UST 231, UST 281, UST 291, UST 212C, UST 242, UST 255

COREQUISITE: UST 213C, UST 260, UST 270

CAREER COURSE: Designated primarily for vocational/career programs. This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
