In addition, basic computer skills are required to besuccessful in an online course;Description: The course will develop a variety of chemistry topics including nuclear chemistry; redox reactions and electrochemistry; the structure and nomenclature for organic compounds; the nature and properties of plastics and polymers; the nature and properties of drugs; the nature and properties of biochemical molecules especially fats and oils, carbohydrates, and proteins and their relationship to nutrition; and the nature and properties of DNA and RNA and their relationship to heredity. These topics are developed on an as needed basis in order to deal with a variety of societal issues.
