This course is an introduction to Totally Integrated Automation of PLC systems. Topics covered will include the automation pyramid, analogue sensors and actuators, STEP 7 functions, motor control circuits/devices and their use in distributed I/O systems; PID (Proportional/Integral/Derivative) control; mechanical and thermal transducers; introduction to DCS supervision of PLC networks, class.
