This course will include mathematical computations essential to pharmacy technicians in a variety of settings. Basic skills involving Roman numerals; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions including the use of pharmacy measurement systems (Metric, Apothecary, Avoirdupois); interpretation of numeric symbols and Latin abbreviations; medical terms, symbols, and abbreviations used in pharmacy practice.
