This course introduces the learner to fundamental professional responsibilities and considerations toward becoming a successful diagnostic medical sonographer, to include personality and group learning dynamics, basic terminology, sectional anatomy, instrumentation, policies and regulations of the program and profession, patient care practices, a brief history of ultrasound with current topics and future implications, ethical and malpractice considerations, scanning ergonomics, and responsibilities within the clinical and didactic environments.
