The second of a multi-course sequence that included the female pelvis in SONO 2002, and will continue in SONO 2012 and 2022 with early and late obstetrics in normal and abnormal development and management of maternal and fetal concerns from the sonographic imaging and assessment perspective. The student will learn to assess for intrauterine versus ectopic pregnancies, gestational age, well-being, and growth and development anomalies through sonographic assessment and fetal biometric techniques, using both transabdominal and transvaginal techniques.
