Description:
This course is based on the CNC Milling machine using 3-axis programs and applications. An integrated systems approach is used to identify and distinguish mechanical work systems, sensor and feedback systems, and software-based inputs and outputs. Computer-assisted methods will be taught with particular emphasis placed on projects to enhance hands-on operational experience. The course will include such topics as basic codes, post-processing and the troubleshooting of machine tool error codes (system and program faults). One hour lecture and three hours lab per week.
