Provides a general overview of vertebrate evolution through time and to discuss how it is (and has been) interpreted from the fossil record. In addition, new theories and recent discoveries will be addressed (specifically, their relevance to past and current thinking). Two lectures and two laboratory sessions weekly. Honors students will be required to work a minimum of 20 hours at the Gray Fossil Site and submit a report on their work by the end of the semester.
