Elementary Latin I is an introductory course in the Latin language. Students will learn the basic grammatical elements and linguistic principles of the Latin language (morphology, semantics, and syntax) and acquire a working vocabulary. The class will engage in frequent discussions of classical art, literature, and history and examine Latin’s role in the development of other world languages.
