Cardiopulmonary Physiology provides an in-depth study of the physiology of the cardiopulmonary system. Topics include the mechanics of breathing, ventilation/perfusion relationships, gas transport mechanisms and neurologic control of ventilation. Maintenance of acid/base balance and the interpretation of arterial blood gases are also discussed (3 Lecture hrs/week).
