Topics include unit analysis, properties of matter, reactions in solutions, basic stoichiometry, behavior of gases, nuclear chemistry, basic atomic structure, and chemical bonding. This course does not count towards a chemistry major or minor and it does not satisfy the entrance requirements of medical, veterinary medical, or dental schools. Laboratory 2 hours. Pre or Corequisites: CHEM 1050 or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
