This course will build on the foundation presented in Introduction to Child Life. This course will examine the theoretical basis of the psychosocial care of children, adolescents, and families in the heath care setting. This course will also discuss the etiology of childhood illness and disease, clinical procedures, communication techniques, and research literature are studied from a developmental perspective. Prerequisites: 3.0 GPA required and ECHD 2000 or department head approval.
