Provides instruction and practice in the use of working drawings and applications from the print to the work. Includes relationship of views and details, interpretation of dimensions, transposing scale, tolerance, electrical symbols, sections, materials list, architectural plans, room schedules and plot plans. This course introduces the basic principles of print reading. Topics include line types, orthographic projections, dimensioning methods, and notes. Upon completion, students should be able to interpret basic prints and visualize the features of a part or system. Course Hours Per Week: Class, 2. Lab, 1. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed. Differential course fee will be assessed.
