This course will introduce current trends and topics in nutrition that are advancing in the field such as informatics, nutrient/drug interactions/ food biotechnology, whole food/plant-based and other “diets”, food allergies, food tourism, and nutrigenomics. This course will also assess how these trends and topics are impacting the field of nutrition and the skills needed by professionals in related fields to work effectively in their career and practice. Prerequisites: NUTR 1350 or department head approval. Nutrition Minors only.
