Introduction to polymer materials, 3D Printing, and their applications. A review of topics in polymer science and engineering followed by an introduction to 3D Printing. An important consideration on the technology, applications, and ecosystem of 3D printing. Students are required to write a review article on the topic of 3D printing and participate in a 3D printing demonstration when available.Repeatability: May be repeated. Maximum 6 hours.Credit Restriction: Students cannot receive credit for both CBE 452 and CBE 552.Recommended Background: Introductory courses in materials or chemistry of materials.
