Introductory course for students interested in pursuing careers in special education. Course is designed to provide students with service learning experiences in conjunction with placements in community or instructional settings. Service learning projects will engage students in the application of new knowledge and skills through projects related to improving educational, recreational, or self-determination outcomes for people with disabilities.Repeatability: May be repeated. Up to 6 credit hours with consent of instructor.Comments: Restricted to students admitted to or seeking admission to teacher licensure in special education.
