This is an introductory study of selected topics in physics including mechanics of linear and curvilinear motion, energy gravitation, vibrations and waves, sound electricity, magnetism and some atomic and nuclear physics. Note the preceding introductory discussion concerning course credits. Credit in only one of the following courses can be used toward graduation or general educaton requirements: PHYS 1030, 2010, 2110 (Same as TN eCampus PHYS 1030)
PREREQUISITE: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Writing and Reading Learning Support Competencies and an ACT MATH subscore of 19 (or equivalent) or completion of MATH 1005, 1130, 1710 or higher (with a grade of C or higher.)
HOURS: Three lecture, two laboratory hours per week.
GEN ED: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements.
