Using classroom interaction and laboratory practice, this course will provide a basic introduction to ASL incluicing each student's individual experiences and contexts. Such authentic learning experiences will allow the students to communicate with native users of ASL. Students will learn appropriate language usage along with ASL grammer, as well as the cultural norms of the deaf community. This course will be taught via ASL with no voice instruction and will inlude a lab.
