Co-requisite: BIOL 4480; Dual Listed: BIOL 5481;Description: A research-based, hands-on practical course where students will annotate genomes using different computer programs and will submit their annotations to GenBank (the National Center for Biotechnology Information - NCBI). Students will characterize and investigate genomes, including gene calling, functional assignments, and preparing final submission files that meet NCBI requirements.
