Prerequisite: A C or higher in BIOL 3000/3001; Corequisite: BIOL 4741; Pre/Corequisite BIOL 4080/4081; Dual Listed: BIOL 5740;Description: A survey of how we define biodiversity, the biogeography of biodiversity, the challenges facing biodiversity, ways to conserve biodiversity globally, and current tools used to assess and conserve biodiversity. This course will emphasize quantitative methods in Conservation Biology and critical thinking to solve real-world problems.
