Prerequisite: A C or higher in BIOL 3000/3001; Corequisite: BIOL 4740; Pre/Corequisite BIOL 4080/4081; Dual Listed: BIOL 5741;Description: Laboratory course associated with BIOL 4730. A survey of biodiversity and the biogeography of biodiversity. Students will learn current tools used to assess diversity as they examine the challenges facing biodiversity and investigate methods to conserve global biodiversity. This course will emphasize quantitative methods in Conservation Biology and critical thinking to solve real-world problems.
