An introduction to the college experience for first-year students at UTC and the aspects needed for a successful transition from high school to college. This course is designed to welcome new History majors to the department, introduce them to the curriculum, faculty, campus partners (including academic advisors), student programs, and potential careers, and create a supportive and collaborative cohort among enrollees. Fall Semester. Elective available to students with fewer than 30 earned hours. Recommended during the initial semester for students who enter UTC with fewer than 15 hours. Students enrolled in this course will earn one hour of graded, elective credit.
