This course is designed to enrich students' knowledge of how motor skills develop or deteriorate throughout the life span as a result of maturation and aging. Students attain knowledge of major concepts and principles of motor learning and their application to professional settings. This course will prepare students to apply their knowledge of motor development and motor learning in teaching motor skills in all professional settings. i.e., K-12 schools, community recreation programs, senior citizen centers, etc. It includes lecture and laboratory coursework. Prerequisite SPSC 200 and Junior standing.
