This course examines the diversity of aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates, which compose over 95% of the species of animals on earth. Students will primarily gain a survey of all the invertebrate phyla, with emphasis on morphology, internal anatomy, systematics, evolution, and ecology. The laboratory will include �hands-on� examination of specimens from various phyla, student dissections, and individual collections of invertebrates by students.
