This course introduces the professional nurse to the research process related to evidence-based practice. The history of nursing research, research methodologies, and skills associated with the critique of published research studies is explored to increase the application of evidence-based practice skills and the use of nursing research as the foundation for the delivery of safe and effective nursing care. Three (3) hours theory. Prerequisite: Admission to the RN-BSN program. Co-requisites: NUR 463; 464.
