The focus of this course is on the research critique and the use of evidence-based findings in clinical practice. Qualitative and quantitative methods sampling procedures including human subjects' considerations data collection methods and interpretation of results will be discussed in the context of research utilization. This course will also devote time to discuss the application of statistical methods to health care data in evaluating research reports. Additionally students will propose a clinical investigative study that may be carried out within the acute care or community health setting.
