This course emphasizes the identification of local angiosperms, both monocots and dicots, as well as representative species of gymnosperms. Basics of taxonomic classification and use of technical characteristics in identification of plant species, genera and families. Collection methodology and herbarium techniques will be covered as well. Field trips required. Offered May mini-term. Pre-requisites: B171, B172. *Reminder: 1. Transportation will be provided for field class. 2. Bring your own lunch in the field.
