An introduction to the fundamentals of acting and playing analysis. Students will be introduced to the methods of Konstantin Stanislavski and will engage elements of the acting process such as character analysis and development relaxation concentration observation action given circumstances superobjective diction and movement through participation in exercise scene analysis scene performance journaling and reflecting on a live performance. Students will also be introduced to the audition process and will analyze and perform an audition piece. This course is offered to both Traditional and GPS students.
