This course provides an overview of project management. The content is designed to expose students to the techniques of engineering project management and is intended to develop analytical skills in engineering management. Major topics include economic analysis, project screening and selection, organizational and project structure, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, life cycle costing, and project control. Engineering Project Management provides an understanding of the major concepts of project management, including financial investments, negotiation, risk, collaboration, total quality management, and value engineering. Prerequisite: Junior Standing.
