This course is designed to provide students with managerial skills in the areas of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. Emphasis will be on the processes of budgeting, staffing, directing, decision making, development and evaluation of policies and procedures, and establishing standards for the quality of health information services. Special assignments include in-service education. (Formerly HIM 440) Prerequisites: MGMT courses, senior standing in the HIMA curriculum with a minimum grade point average of 2.0 or better.
