Prerequisites: ARTA 1110 or ARTA 1201; or permission of instructor. An introduction to the basic principles of color theory as related to the visual arts to include both additive and subtractive color systems. Aspects of contemporary practice will be explored in relationship to the application of color and forms of studio research. This course will give students insight into current trends in contemporary art through examples of various media.
