Introduction to systems design techniques and the design of chemical processes. Course covers case studies of various commercial chemical production processes. Students will engage in individual and group problem solving. Emphasis is placed on preparing for routine commercial engineering assignments; including engineering diagrams, cost estimation, environmental and health and safety considerations and project management. Corequisites: ENCH 4350 or department head approval. Senior standing in Chemical Engineering or department head approval. Differential course fee will be assessed.
