Intensive introduction to soil genesis and development, and the study of soils across landscapes past and present. Offered alternate Spring semesters. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 1 hour. Prerequisites: GEOL 1110 and 1110L, and CHEM 1110 and 1110L, all with minimum grades of C or department head approval. Mandatory field trips. Corequisite: GEOL 3220L or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
