The study of diet and disease; application of appropriate nutritional therapies for endocrine disorders, hypermetabolic conditions, immune system disorders, pulmonary diseases, cancer, liver and renal disease. Includes practicum/placement. Lecture 3 hours, lab 2 hours. Spring semester. Prerequisite: NUTR 4370 or department head approval. Corequisite: NUTR 4390L or department head approval. Dietetics majors only. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
