Description:
This course is an overview of education in America and the role and responsibility of the teacher. Students will see examples of modeling technology integration in today’s classroom. Students will learn the use of digital integration in the classroom, digital storytelling, the creation of educational videos, the use of tablet computing and apps in the classroom, and the use of technology support and encourage higher order thinking in the classroom and support classroom integration of the Common Core standards. Prerequisite: Documented eligibility for collegiate English. Additional observations and problem-based learning activities are required in this course.A minimum grade of “C” is required in this course to meet the requirement of the AST degree.
