Description:
This course prepares the healthcare worker to administer basic life support (BLS) to the adult, child, and infant. This course is based upon guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association. Content areas include basic airway control, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking, and the use of airway adjuncts such as the pocket mask & bag-mask. The course consists of a watch-then-practice concept. 1 hour lecture, 1 hour laboratory.
