Pre-Req: PTA 200Co-Req: PTA 230This course focuses on common medical and surgical conditions related to physical therapy interventions for clients with cardiopulmonary disorders, diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, integumentary pathologies including burns and amputation. Also considered is immunodeficiency disease, specific women¿s health concerns, and generalized wound care. Further instruction is included regarding aerobic exercise and fitness and wellness promotion. Prosthetic devices and the associated gait deviations are addressed.
