This course introduces the student to the diversity of life on earth, looking in more detail at the fungi, plants and animals. The structure and function of flowering plants is reviewed. Animal anatomy (tissues, organs and organ systems), physiology, reproduction and development are covered with an emphasis on humans. The final section of the course covers the principles of ecology. May not receive credit for both BIOL 1120 and BIOL 1020.
