Scholarships and Financial Aid:

Information for Transfer In Students

Adult Degree Completion Programs:
Any degree offered by MTSU may be used as part of the Adult Degree Completion Program. Every adult student has an assigned advisor to help them select the program that best fits their specific circumstances and goals.
Credit for Prior Learning:
Portfolio Assessments, Institutional Challenge Exams, ACE-Military, DANTES/DSST Exams, CLEP, ACT, SAT, Excelsior*, TECEP*, AP, IB, ACE-Workplace*, NCCRS* (*Credit recommendation from these sources can be earned through portfolio assessment.)

Transfer Application Requirements

Minimum GPA:
24 or more earned semesters hours with a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
Official Transcripts:
Official transcripts from each institution are required. Students who have not earned a Bachelor's degree in the past will also need to submit official high school transcripts as well.
SAT/ACT Scores:
ACT or SAT scores are only required if the student has earned less than 24 credit hours and is 21 or younger; individual consideration through appeal process available.
Application Fee:
There is a $25 application fee.
Other Requirements:
Transfer application not meeting guaranteed admission criteria may submit their credentials to the Admissions Review Board for review. Information about this process is mailed to students during the application processing stage.
