Specifically, we will focus on the history of intimate partner abuse, child abuse, elder abuse, and related topics.This course revolves around three themes: 1) gaining knowledge and insight about family violence, 2) understanding the social context of family violence, 3) exploring and developing one’s personal philosophy about family violence and related issues. This class will combine readings, discussions, active-learning exercises, and quizzes.
