The seminar experience (ECED 4750) prepares candidates for interviews, writing for the edTPA, and other professional activities designed to support the field experience portion of Residency II.   Prerequisites: ECED 4617, ECED 4627, ECED 4637, ECED 4680.Corequisites: ECED 4750.Residency II: Supervised Field Experience (9 credit hours) is a supervised, full-time 15-week teaching experience in approved Early Childhood Pre-K and primary grade programs. Candidates are placed in on-campus and area public schools for the directed teaching experience and are required to observe the same schedule as that prescribed for regular public school teachers by local boards of education. Activities include actual teaching, observations of other teachers, preparation, planning, and other professional activities related to each school's specific program. A corresponding seminar (ECED 4750) is held to coordinate and enhance the teacher candidates' experience and performance.When Offered: Spring only.

Required of all undergraduate teaching candidates, the course is a supervised 15-week residency teaching experience in an approved PreK-3 placement. Activities include teaching, observing, preparing, planning and co-teaching. Course includes a seminar. Admission to Residency II is contingent upon successful completion of Residency I and passing score on all required PRAXIS II tests.
